Admission campaign to universities for 2025 started in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, July 15 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan has started the admission campaign to higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2025 academic year. Admission of documents from applicants is held in all provinces of the country, as well as in Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. This is reported by the publication Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

The admission plan was approved by the Order of the President of Turkmenistan dated July 11, 2024, which was signed at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. Documents from applicants are accepted from July 14 to August 25, 2024, after the end of this period entrance exams will be held at the locations of educational institutions.

A special State Commission has been established for the organizational and methodological management of the admission campaign, the composition of which has also been approved by a separate presidential order. The khakimliks of the provinces, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities have been instructed to provide the necessary conditions for the effective work of the admission commissions.

A special feature of the current admission campaign will be the opening of the first International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, which is designed to become a cadre for domestic business. The new educational institution will train specialists in eight areas: architecture, construction, informatics, engineering, agriculture, veterinary medicine, economics and law.

University studies are designed for five years and will be conducted in Turkmen and English. The program includes one year of language training and four years of undergraduate studies.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of fair entrance exams with public control and selection of the most talented applicants.

Detailed information on the procedure of admission to higher education institutions and vocational schools, including the list of specialties, required documents and contact information, was published on July 12 in the central mass media.
