On Friday, February 24, nomination of candidates for deputies to the Mejlis in Turkmenistan was completed. Currently, the registration of nominated candidates is underway and will be completed on February 28. After that, meetings of registered candidates with voters will start. This is reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".
As part of the current legislation, meetings of the country's political party committees were held in the constituencies to review the work history, vision of the country's further development, business and personal qualities of candidates for deputy.
Once candidates are registered, all contestants will be granted equal rights to campaign. The lists of candidates and data on the dates and times of meetings with voters will be published in the country's mass media. The election of deputies will be held on March 26.
