A youth delegation from Turkmenistan is actively participating in the youth forum within the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference taking place in Paris these days. This is reported on the air of the news program Watan.
The report says that the country is represented at the forum by Maksat Chariev, Turkmenistan's permanent representative to UNESCO, Yazpolat Keryev, chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, and a fourth-year student of the International University of Humanities and Development.
During the two-day UNESCO Youth Forum, held on November 14 and 15, participants discussed the impact of climate change on humanity and a green and equitable transition to a greener economy.
According to organizers, the event was attended by about 170 young people from more than 150 countries and representatives from 33 youth ministries.
The Forum provides an opportunity for the younger generation to share their vision of global challenges and propose solutions to current problems by discussing them with representatives of UNESCO Member States during the General Conference.
