On Monday, April 10, a meeting was held between Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova and newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Turkmenistan Michel Petermans, where the latter handed over his credentials to the head of the parliament. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary was familiarized with the peculiarities of the foreign and domestic policy of the state, in particular, with the large-scale reforms and international programs conducted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at universal welfare, peace, security and stability.
Д. Gulmanova emphasized Turkmenistan's foreign policy based on the permanent status of neutrality. The Chairperson also emphasized the special importance of socio-economic programs to build capacity and diversify the economy of the country.
