Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the Russian Federation Esen Aidogdiyev met with Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev on deepening parliamentary cooperation and intensifying joint activities. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
The Russian side expressed interest in developing cooperation with Muslim countries, including through participation in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. During the meeting, Kosachev emphasized the intention to intensify work within the framework of the "Ashgabat format" - an interparliamentary platform of Central Asian countries and Russia.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized the readiness to provide comprehensive assistance to further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation with Russia.
