President of Turkmenistan congratulates oil and gas workers and geologists on their professional holiday

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has congratulated oil and gas workers and geologists on the Day of Oil and Gas Industry and Geology Workers, a professional holiday widely and solemnly celebrated in the country, TDH reports.

In the congratulatory message of the President of Turkmenistan it is noted that in accordance with the adopted state programs for harmonious development of the sovereign Motherland, large-scale activities are carried out to achieve milestones in terms of creating large industrial complexes in the country, building gas pipelines, developing large promising oil and gas fields.
Among the successes in this sphere, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the discovery of new oil fields in various corners of the sunny country, the Turkmenistan-China and East-West gas pipelines, as well as the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India international gas pipeline and its main link Serhetabat-Herat, called "Arkadagyň ak ýoly".
According to the head of state, the Galkynyş gas field, which is one of the world's leading energy reserves, is of great economic importance for our country. Its gradual development expands opportunities for supplying Turkmen natural gas to international markets. At present, the number of countries interested in Turkmen energy resources is increasing. World-famous companies and financial structures are also seeking to establish cooperation in this area.
- Compliance with environmental protection requirements, meeting high environmental standards and reducing the impact on climate change are important tasks in the development of oil and gas fields, production, processing and supply of hydrocarbon resources to consumers. I am firmly confident that the oil and gas industry workers will make a significant contribution to the successful fulfillment of Turkmenistan's commitments in this direction," the congratulatory message says.
