Memorandums with Qatar and Russia signed in Ashgabat

The meeting of heads of the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of the CIS countries with the participation of representatives of international humanitarian organizations has ended in the capital of Turkmenistan. Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

At the end of the two-day event, Memorandums of Understanding were signed between the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and the Red Crescent Society of Qatar, as well as between the Turkmen organization and the Russian Red Cross.

Ebrahim Hashim Al-Sada, Vice President of the Qatar Red Crescent Society, announced plans to develop cooperation in the field of volunteering and expand interaction with Central Asian countries.

Pavel Savchuk, Chairman of the Russian Red Cross, expressed Russia's readiness to share its experience in the field of emergency response and to send specialists for training on mobile stations and tents.

The meeting was held under the motto "International Year of Peace and Trust - Humanism and Neutrality". The participants discussed issues of emergency response, international humanitarian law, humanitarian diplomacy and volunteer involvement.

The event was held on the eve of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and in the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
