Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with the Deputy Akim of Astana

On September 12, Astana hosted a meeting of Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Batyr Redzhepov with Deputy Akim of Astana city Baiken Yeset Berikuly on the issue of holding festive and cultural events on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fraghi by Turkmenistan in 2024. This is reported in the official social networks of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan.

In this context, the Turkmen side was proposed to accelerate the processes of installing a monument to Makhtumkuli Fraghi in the capital of Kazakhstan in order to time the opening of the monument to the anniversary date. The agreement on the installation of the monument to Makhtumkuli in Astana and Kazakh philosopher Kunanbayev Abay in Ashgabat was reached in 2022 during the working visit of Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Astana.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular interaction on this and other issues.
