UN Children's Fund organized a conference on modernization of education in Turkmenistan

The management of the UN Children's Fund in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Education organized a conference attended by NGOs, students and teachers of higher education institutions of Turkmenistan, ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals project and employees of UN agencies. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The theme of the conference was the transformation of the education system, as well as the involvement of young people in activities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Turkmenistan made a speech at the conference, emphasizing the special importance of youth participation in the modernization of education.

Conference participants gained useful knowledge and skills on effective communication, self-development and academic planning, among others.

Turkmenistan has expressed interest in transforming the education system by actively participating in the Education Transformation Summit.
