In January 2025, Turkmenistan will host a conference dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen bakhshi - musician and composer S. Dzhepbarov. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
During his creative life, Sakhy Dzhepbarov wrote more than 200 musical compositions on the poems of his contemporaries and the classics of Turkmen poetry. Currently, the funds of Turkmen Radio contain truly unique musical material - gramophone records of the 30s of the last century with Sakhy Dzhepbarov's compositions performed by the author.
The conference in January 2025 will be held in the walls of the special school of arts of the city of Arkadag, which bears the name of the outstanding composer. The event will be attended by guests of honor, musicologists, folk performers.
