Elections for Majlis deputies started at 7 a.m. in Turkmenistan

On Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 7 a.m., elections for the Majlis, local Khalk Maslahaty and Gengesh elections started at all polling stations in Turkmenistan. The elections will last until 19 hours. This is reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Citizens of the country will express their civic position and elect 125 deputies to the Majlis, as well as members of velayat, etrap and city khalk maslahaty and Gengesh. A total of 2,644 polling stations have been set up across the country, with 240 of them to be broadcast online. This will make the voting process as transparent as possible.

Each polling station is equipped with special booths, modern technical means of communication and transportation. There are 3.5 million citizens registered in the country who have the right to vote.
