On June 29 this year, Turkmenistan started celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the country's first "smart" city, the city of national importance Arkadag. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The solemn events began on the square near the monument "Akkhan". The opening of the monument to the legendary horse was held here with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan and foreign guests. At the moment of removing the cloth from the monument, multicolored balloons went up, and fountains started working at the foot of the monument.
The opening ceremony of the Arkadag monument was also held. Then, the President of the country and his guests went to the Main Square of Arkadag city, where the State Flag of Turkmenistan was raised to the sounds of the National Anthem.
