On December 6, at the meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva - Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - reported that for 11 months of the current year Turkmen athletes won 616 medals, having taken part in 174 international competitions. Schoolchildren and students won 821 medals in various thematic Olympiads. Such successes were achieved thanks to the Government's effective work on improving educational programs.
Bairamgul Orazdurdyeva also noted the country's successes in the field of health care - this year new technologies were widely introduced and scientific and clinical centers of high world level were opened.
Having heard the Deputy Prime Minister's report, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to continue working on reforms in the spheres of education, sports and health care.
