On February 9, 2023, two-day interdepartmental consultations were concluded, where topical issues of natural resources management were considered. The meetings were held at the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat. The event was organized by the Kazakh-German University and the Regional WAVE Project. This is reported in the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The consultations were attended by representatives of relevant agencies and ministries of Turkmenistan, representatives of USAID and CAREC in the country. This meeting was the final in a cycle of interagency consultations on environmental issues and rational use of natural resources, implemented under the Government Officials Training Project, which started in December 2021.
During the meetings the issues of technical capacity development and strengthening of international cooperation on transboundary water resources management in CA were considered.
