Turkmenistan's initiatives adopted by the UN General Assembly during the 48th plenary meeting of the 78th session of the UNGA have been published on the official website of the Organization. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The document on cooperation in the transport sector proclaims the period 2026-2035 as the Decade of Sustainable Transport. The document also provides for the main events of the Sustainable Transport Day to be held in Turkmenistan in the fall of 2024.
The document on energy connectivity envisages uniting the efforts of the international community in overcoming the energy crisis and ensuring stability of cross-border energy supplies. Within the framework of this document, the Seventh Sustainable Energy for All Forum will be held in Turkmenistan in 2026.
