The concept of the UNGA debate initiated by Turkmenistan has been published as an official document

As an official document of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the Concept of the debate initiated by Turkmenistan on the issue of "Peace, Confidence and Cooperation Zone of Central Asia" has been published. The concept was published in 6 official languages of the United Nations. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Debates of the UNGA participants are scheduled for May 16 this year. The venue will be the UN headquarters. Turkmenistan's concept emphasizes the priority of peacekeeping - the creation of peace zones as an instrument of preventive diplomacy, strengthening the security of the world's countries, deterrence and settlement of regional conflicts.

Previously, the UN General Assembly established zones of peace and cooperation in the South Atlantic in 1986, in the Indian Ocean region in 1971.
