At an informal summit held in St. Petersburg, the heads of CIS countries were presented with rings with the symbols of the Commonwealth as a New Year present, reports the MIR 24 TV channel.
As noted, this ring was specially made for the event. This unique gift was given to all 9 leaders attending the summit. The ring features New Year's greetings and Commonwealth symbols.
As we reported earlier, on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin an informal summit of the CIS heads of state was held in St. Petersburg on December 26-27. It was also attended by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov.
