Postage stamps with the image of Turkmen poet presented in the USA

Postage stamps with the image of Makhtumkuli Fraghi issued by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States jointly with the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council were presented on May 20 at the National Postal Museum of the United States. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The event was attended by the executive secretary of the Turkmen National Committee for UNESCO, representatives of scientific, educational and cultural institutions of the United States, employees of the Turkmen diplomatic mission to the United States, members of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council, specialists of the National Museum of the U.S. Postal Service, representatives of the U.S. Department of State and other U.S. agencies.

An exhibition of the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people was organized for the guests of the ceremony, including samples of manuscripts of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi from the fund of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Makhtumkuli ANT, museum treasures of the State Museum of the State Culture Center and works of art of the State Art Center.
