The classes were organized by the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education, UNICEF and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) as part of the campaign to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

During the activities, children learned about human rights declarations and conventions with a focus on the principles of non-discrimination, best interests of the child, health, development, participation and inclusion. The interactive format allowed children to gain first-hand knowledge and skills related to human rights in a fun way.

The participants were enthusiastic about the new information they received. The activities emphasized the importance of ensuring fair and equal opportunities for all children in Turkmenistan, regardless of their background. Overall, this nationwide initiative is a shining example of effective awareness-raising of children's human rights in the country.
