Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan met with a representative of the Saudi royal family

On May 19, 2023, negotiations between Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and a representative of the Saudi royal family Emir Mohammed bin Saad bin Khalid Al Saud were held. This is reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

The sides discussed cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including trade and economic cooperation. The sides stressed the fruitful interaction between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia within the framework of international communities, in particular, the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. They also noted Turkmenistan's effective partnership with the countries of the Arab world and the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The parties highlighted fuel and energy, trade, investment and transportation, chemical and textile industries, and agriculture as promising areas of cooperation.
