President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has congratulated the participants on the opening of the first ever international exhibition-fair "Turkmentextile Expo - 2025". The event is held in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust of the Era of Renaissance of a New Era of a Powerful State.
The exhibition is designed to demonstrate the achievements of the Turkmen textile industry over the years of independence and present the latest technologies of the industry. Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with a wide range of products - from traditional silk fabrics to modern clothing intended both for the domestic market and for export.
The head of state emphasized the special role of the national weaving art as a living embodiment of the creative genius of the Turkmen people and a part of the world cultural heritage. According to him, the development and popularization of this ancient craft in the world, as well as the transmission of traditions to the younger generation remain priorities of the state policy.
Turkmen textiles have already won recognition in international markets due to their environmental friendliness, high quality and use of natural raw materials. The products of domestic manufacturers are exported to dozens of countries around the world.
The textile complex of Turkmenistan has a powerful production infrastructure and extensive raw material base, occupying advanced positions in the structure of the national economy. The exhibition also demonstrates the country's openness to attract foreign investment in the textile sector.
Further development of the industry is planned to be carried out through the introduction of achievements of world science and innovative technologies. Special emphasis is placed on the expansion of targeted international partnership in this area.
