President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated young bakhshis on their participation in the final round of the dutar competition "Çalsana, bagşy!" held within the framework of the "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" Presidential Award Contest, TDH reports.
The congratulatory message of the head of state notes that Turkmenistan has seen significant progress in the development of national culture, art and literature. The scope of state programs aimed at supporting creative initiatives is expanding. The "Çalsana, bagsy!" contest is a vivid example of the state support for the creative potential of the people, which provides ample opportunities for the development of the national music and song art, identification and support of talented young bakhshi.
For many years, dutar craftsmanship and traditional musical performance art combined with singing, which have been inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, have impressed the imagination of the peoples of the planet, the President of Turkmenistan said.
In his message, Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the young Bakhshis will make a significant contribution to the development of this art with their delightful creative works.
