President of Turkmenistan puts forward a number of initiatives at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly

In this context, a significant role is played by Turkmenistan's policy of permanent neutralityTurkmenistan is the first country in the world to have a global forum for peace, based on the principles of humanism and a peaceful approach to addressing the challenges of our time. Turkmenistan has initiated the declaration of 2021 as the Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the holding of a relevant global forum.


Turkmenistan also proposed a draft resolution "The Role of the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia". Stabilization of security and growth of prosperity in the region is only possible with the situation in Afghanistan. In this context, Turkmenistan tirelessly defends the immutability of the diplomatic and negotiation process. In addition, our state has initiated and is implementing a number of projects (gas pipeline TAPIPOWER LINES TAP, railways) vital to the restoration of the social and economic well-being of neighboring Afghanistan.

The head of Turkmenistan proposed the establishment of WHO Special Programs for the Study of the Coronavirus Genome, the development of a multilateral mechanism fighting COVID-19The implementation of a specialized Methodological Center. This is possible only with close coordination of the efforts of scientific and medical organizations from all over the world.

The leader of the Turkmen nation described the state of the world economy amid a global pandemic. Turkmenistan is a supporter of SDG implementation and uses all possible resources to achieve the Goals, but the current world situation has dealt a severe blow to the realization of these objectives. The need to accelerate the work on the international legal framework was noted energy transit and security transport stability in the current force majeure circumstances. Turkmenistan is ready to provide a platform for a forum of ministers of countries that do not have access to the World Ocean to intensify efforts in this direction.
