In his speech at the Russia-Central Asia forum last Friday, Serdar Berdymukhamedov noted the importance of activating the transport corridor from Russia to Indian ports through Central Asia.
He drew attention to Turkmenistan's readiness to implement a project to optimize traffic flows through the country, calling this route the shortest way to the Persian Gulf, from where access to maritime terminals in the Indian Ocean opens via Iranian ports.
Serdar Berdymukhamedov also highlighted priority areas of partnership in the economy. He noted the importance of cooperation in energy, logistics, regional trade, industry and agriculture.
The President of Turkmenistan also put forward an initiative to organize business cooperation between Russia and the countries of Central Asia in a regular format.
