At a briefing on the results of recent talks between the presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in Ashgabat, Serdar Berdymukhamedov called for all problems to be solved on the basis of equal rights.
The President of Turkmenistan stressed that he considered interference in the internal affairs of independent countries in the region unacceptable. He spoke out against attempts to destabilize the political situation through elements of radicalism and extremism.
The president of Turkmenistan and his Uzbekistan counterpart agreed on many issues on the global agenda. The two sides advocated peacekeeping and joint opposition to international terrorism. Both leaders believe that Afghanistan should be integrated into the global economy through its direct participation in transport and energy projects.
