President of Turkmenistan meets with Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan

Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, paid a working visit to Turkmenistan, as reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Ashgabat to strengthen relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan. During the meeting with Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the special importance of the development of trade and economic relations was emphasized, in connection with which it is planned to increase export-import operations.

The interlocutors noted that the activity of the Turkmen-Tatar working group on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation contributes to the strengthening of interstate ties. Earlier, a regular meeting of this working group was held on March 15-16. The Turkmen-Tatar business forum was also held in Ashgabat, which was of great importance for the development of trade and economic partnership.

The Turkmen side expressed interest in developing and strengthening cooperation with Tatarstan in the humanitarian sphere, including science, education and culture.
