Works of scientists from Turkmenistan in Russian are among the leaders in the citation index in the CIS

The citation index of scientific articles of scientists from Turkmenistan in Russian language was higher compared to many other countries of the Commonwealth, which indicates the weight of scientific publications. This is reported in an article by Rossiyskaya Gazeta devoted to an analysis of the state of the Russian language in the CIS countries.

Turkmenistan is the leader in the citation index of scientific publications in Russian, along with the Baltic States, Armenia, and Moldova.

Analytical data published in "Rossiyskaya gazeta" also show an increase of 45 thousand students from Belarus who study in Russian, 12 thousand more students study in Russian at the universities of Tajikistan, 10 thousand more at the universities of Kyrgyzstan in comparison with the previous period.
