Rashid Meredov discussed issues of Turkmen-Tajik cooperation in Dushanbe

On March 8-9, 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov was on an official visit to Dushanbe. During the visit on March 8, the diplomat met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and discussed a wide range of issues on strengthening bilateral Turkmen-Tajik strategic cooperation. The sides discussed details of the forthcoming visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan, which is scheduled for the first half of this year. The diplomats also touched upon the 5th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of the Central Asian countries, which will be held in September in the capital of Tajikistan.

On March 9, 2023, R. Meredov met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The Turkmen diplomat conveyed greetings and good wishes to the head of state from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the countries in various directions.
