Turkmen Foreign Ministry held a meeting with the CIS Deputy Secretary General

On March 9, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev met with Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Ilkhom Nematov at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Ilhom Nematov arrived in Ashgabat as the head of the working group for the opening of the CIS Observer Mission Headquarters to monitor the compliance of Turkmenistan's election campaign with the norms of national law.

The central topic of the talks was the organization of the election campaign ahead of the election of deputies to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, which is scheduled for 26 March. I. Nematov noted the beginning of successful work of the Commonwealth Observer Mission and emphasized the importance of assistance in holding fair and democratic elections.
