Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport initiated by Turkmenistan expands

The number of member countries of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, established on the initiative of Turkmenistan, has increased - the Philippines has joined the list. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".

Thus, the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, established in November 2022, now includes 18 States. This structure is an effective platform for multilateral cooperation in the field of safe transportation systems and sustainable economic development. There are no legal or financial obligations on the part of the members - membership in the Group is open and informal. The first meeting of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport was held in April this year.

In June 2024, Qatar announced its desire to join the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport.
