Stephen Wright: investing in Turkmenistan's Galkynysh field is a promising investment

GaffneyCline technical director Stephen Wright gave statistical data on the volume of gas reserves in the Galkynysh field at a forum on investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan held in Dubai. This is reported by Orient news.

According to seismological studies, the depth of gas deposits in the Galkynysh field is approximately 600 meters. The volume of resources is about 84 trillion cubic meters of gas.

A study of the water-to-gas ratio allowed prediction of reservoir pressure depletion data for 10, 25 and 50 years. It was found that even after 50 years of field utilization, only 45% of gas would be recovered, assuming all seven stages of development were completed.

Currently, the field is in the first phase of development. Stephen Wright emphasized in this regard that investing in the Galkynysh field is a very promising investment.
