Vice-President of Total Energies noted the prospects of investing in the gas sector of Turkmenistan

At the forum on investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan held in Dubai, Vice President of the French oil and gas company Total Energies Laurent Vivier emphasized the importance of investing in the energy sector, in particular, in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan. This is reported by Orient news.

Increasing demand for natural gas is linked to the need to reduce methane emissions. According to the speaker, who joined the conference using the zoom platform, to date it has been possible to reduce methane emissions by 34%, by 2030 it is planned to minimize them by 80%.

In this regard, Laurent Vivier called for active investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan and for expanding the use of natural gas worldwide.
