The Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation held a telephone conversation

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on May 7. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, including within the framework of the Declaration on Deepening Strategic Partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation signed last year. The two Presidents expressed confidence that the Declaration will serve as an effective tool for the development of strategic cooperation in a wide range of areas.

The sides congratulated each other on the approaching holiday - the Great Victory Day, and exchanged wishes for prosperity and well-being. During the conversation, Vladimir Putin invited the leader of Turkmenistan to take part in the Victory Day celebrations on May 9.
