The Head of Turkmenistan participated in the opening of a new water treatment facility

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the Bagtyýarlyk water treatment facility with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters of water per day, built in Ashgabat in accordance with the decree of the Head of State. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

The water source is an open reservoir on the right bank of the Karakum River. After natural sedimentation, the water enters the outflow chamber of the first pumping station, and then - for water treatment, disinfection and further - for filtration. The equipment installed at the facility complies with the EU documents "Best Available Technologies" and "Best Environmental Practices".

During the solemn ceremony of putting the water treatment facility into operation, the participants of the event saw the performances of the country's creative teams, as well as the transfer of minibuses on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
