On September 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Mrs. Katrina Klaas-Mühlheuser, Chairman of the CLAAS Company (Germany), Chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation. At the same time, they confirmed CLAAS' desire to build up productive ties with Turkmenistan, where favorable conditions for effective cooperation have been created
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the results of this visit will serve as a good foundation for the establishment and further expansion of mutually beneficial relations in new areas of mutual interest.
It was noted that Germany is one of the important partners of Turkmenistan in almost all spheres. Special emphasis was placed on the success of cooperation with the Eastern Committee of the German Economy on expanding trade and economic ties, establishing contacts between business circles, stimulating investment activity. In continuation of the theme, successful interstate cooperation in industry, agriculture, banking sector, transportation and communications was emphasized.
As is known, a number of major German companies have been working effectively in the Turkmen market for many years. A good example of this is the interaction in the healthcare sector - exchange of experience, use of the latest German-made equipment in the country's medical institutions.
In this context, the Turkmen side reaffirmed its readiness to consider specific proposals of the partners from Germany aimed at further mutually beneficial cooperation.
