Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan intend to strengthen cooperation

On October 31, the Foreign Ministers of two Central Asian states - Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - held a working meeting in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

According to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, during the talks the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as agreed on the schedule of upcoming events at the highest and high levels.

The personal contribution of the two presidents to the strengthening of multifaceted ties between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was particularly emphasized.

The Foreign Ministers also noted the important role of the August summit of the leaders of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the further development of regional interaction.

At the end of the meeting, the participants noted the high level of mutual understanding between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on key issues on the global and regional agenda, including within the framework of speeches at the UN.
