Russian Minister of Health M. Murashko and Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan A. Germanov discussed topical issues of strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of health care. In the videoconference format they discussed topical issues of strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of health protection.
The Russian minister emphasized the wide opportunities of Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the field of provision of medicines, stressing that many quality medicines and medical products are produced in the Russian Federation.
Mikhail Murashko emphasized that about 70% of all drugs on the Russian market are produced by domestic pharmaceutical companies. He also noted that innovative medicines are being created in Russia, including those for the treatment of rheumatic and oncologic diseases.
The Russian Minister of Health invited his Turkmen counterpart to the forum "Healthy Society" to be held in St. Petersburg. He noted that within the framework of this event it would be possible to visit medical institutions of the city in order to familiarize themselves with the achievements and capabilities of Russian doctors.
