Turkmenistan submitted the second voluntary review of the SDGs

Turkmenistan, with technical support from UNDP, has prepared and submitted the Second Voluntary National SDG Review. This is reported in the press release of UNDP in Turkmenistan.

The review provides an assessment of progress in realizing the national SDG targets up to 2030.
Ministries and agencies led by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the SDG working group, representatives of business, academic institutions, civil society and the UN Agency in Turkmenistan participated in the preparation of the review.

In addition to the UN-recommended Sustainable Development Goals, Turkmenistan has reflected in the review 6 other priorities: poverty eradication, hunger eradication, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality and combating climate change.

The new review also includes Turkmenistan's experience in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
The review will be presented at the High-Level Political Forum in New York this July.
