Turkmenistan participated in the meeting on the Tehran Convention

On 18-19 December, the Turkmen delegation as part of the Ad Hoc Expert Group took part in the first meeting to discuss the preparation of draft documents on the organization of the Secretariat of the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea (Tehran Convention) in Baku. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the delegations of the Caspian littoral states - the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.
In the course of the meeting they discussed actual mechanisms of activity of the Secretariat of the Tehran Convention and organizational issues on establishment of the Working Group on the Caspian Sea Shoaling Problems.
