Today, March 28, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held talks with a delegation of the Russian news agency "TASS" headed by First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the events on the occasion of declaring the city of Anau the cultural capital of the Turkic world. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation issues, including within the framework of the Memorandum providing for the exchange of news between the State News Agency of Turkmenistan and Russia's TASS News Agency.
In order to provide timely coverage of events in the country, the possibility of accrediting a TASS journalist to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was considered. The parties agreed to maintain information exchange in order to promptly cover the achievements of the two countries in the media space.
