Turkmenistan says European vector of cooperation in gas energy sector to be preserved

During the meeting of the heads of delegations of the Central Asian countries and the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the vector of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Europe in the gas and electricity sectors will be preserved. This is reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Chairman Halk Maslakhaty noted during the meeting in Berlin that Turkmenistan is making special efforts to increase natural gas production in order to ensure supplies to the world markets. The topical agenda is to consider the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline to supply Turkmen gas to Europe.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed interest in resuming contacts with European countries for realization of international energy projects.
