The Turkmen President emphasized the purpose of the Consultative Meetings

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the preservation of the original purpose of the annual Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which is to organize opportunities for constructive and trustful dialogue. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

It was noted that Turkmenistan, being the initiator of the Consultative Meetings of Heads of Central Asian Countries, advocates preserving the consultative nature of interaction without strictly regulated rules. This format will allow the countries to make relevant proposals in the form of a free exchange of views and get a broader picture of the progress of cooperation.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also emphasized that it is inappropriate to create multilateral structures and coalitions within this format. According to him, only Central Asian countries should participate in the Consultative Meetings, as the meetings have a purely regional agenda.
