Turkmen Zoo in Ashgabat has been given the opportunity to join EARAZA

The National Museum of Wildlife of Turkmenistan will be included in the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums according to the unanimous decision of EARAZA after passing accreditation. This is reported in the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.

The decision to include the Turkmen zoo of Ashgabat in EARAZA is based on the application of Turkmenistan. The activity of the National Museum of Wildlife was presented during the International Conference of the Association in Moscow by the zoologist of the Ashgabat Zoo, Prof. E.A. Rustamov. He noted the necessity to elaborate a modern concept of the zoo development.

The exact date of accreditation of the Turkmen zoo will be announced later. Presumably, the visit of the EARAZA accreditation delegation to Ashgabat will take place in late September - early October this year.
