The transfer of a large batch of medical equipment from UNOPS took place in a solemn atmosphere in the capital of Turkmenistan. The ceremony was attended by Japanese Ambassador Y. Hiroyuki. He emphasized that his country is ready to further support Turkmenistan's efforts to modernize its healthcare system.
Medical equipment received by the Turkmen side on a grant basis meets the highest efficiency and safety requirements. Modern ultrasonic diagnostic devices, lung ventilation devices, bronchoscopy equipment and X-ray machines were delivered to Ashgabat.
Deputy Minister of Health of Turkmenistan Ch. Agamyradov thanked representatives of Japan for the equipment provided. He noted that similar equipment received in previous batches has already been installed in 50 medical institutions across the country and successfully performs its functions. The event continued with a presentation by Turkmen doctors who shared their impressions on the use of the medical equipment.
