Avaza, August 5 - Arzuw.news. The Youth Forum organized within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries has ended in the National Tourist Zone "Avaza". This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The event was aimed at implementing the UN Youth 2030 Strategy and creating a platform for dialog between young people and United Nations structures. The forum was attended by representatives of young people from landlocked developing countries, heads of government structures of Turkmenistan and international organizations.
A key outcome of the Forum was the endorsement of the Youth Declaration on "Building Bridges for the Future of Landlocked Developing Countries". The document was prepared after consultations with young people from 32 countries.
Speeches on the importance of empowering youth were delivered by UN Under-Secretary-General Rabab Fatima and Philemon Young, President of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The forum focused on youth entrepreneurship, climate change, digital technologies and innovative solutions for sustainable development. The event included a Landlinked Fellowship exhibition and a ceremony honoring fellows who presented innovative developments to support digital entrepreneurship.
It is worth noting that on Turkmenistan's initiative, the UN General Assembly proclaimed 2025 the "International Year of Peace and Trust". Also, on the initiative of the Turkmen side, the Dialogue of Youth of Central Asia was established - the first meeting was held in October 2023 in the city of Arkadag, the second - in April 2025 at the UN headquarters in New York with the participation of representatives of 45 countries.
Turkmenistan carries out systematic work to support youth. In 2023, the country was held under the motto "Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar".
The organizers plan to hold further events, including an "Intergenerational Dialogue" to discuss youth participation in addressing current issues.
