During a recent visit by a Kazakhstani government delegation to Turkmenistan, the Kazakhstani side proposed the idea of building a large processing facility in Serkhetabat etrap in Mary province, near the Afghan-Turkmen border.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has already instructed members of the government to study the possibility of implementing this project.
It is reported that at the proposed construction site of a new industrial facility has all the necessary conditions for its implementation, including energy and transport infrastructure.
