On Tuesday, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Ilham Aliyev had an official telephone conversation. In the dialogue, the incumbent president of Turkmenistan told his colleague about the results of the early elections and his intention to lead the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh.
The head of a friendly state wished Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov success in his new post and shared his confidence that the new president will be a worthy successor to the foreign policy course.
After meeting with the incumbent president, Ilham Aliyev spoke with Serdar Berdymukhamedov and personally congratulated the people's representative on his confident victory. Both politicians expressed their readiness for further constructive dialogue and long-term cooperation in various directions.
