Turkmenistan participated in a dialog of women leaders in Belgium

A forum "Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia" was held in Brussels on November 13-15 with the participation of the Turkmen delegation, which included representatives of the Parliament of Turkmenistan and the Union of Women. This is reported on the official website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium.

A number of meetings were held during the forum, including with EU Special Representative for Central Asia T. Hakalu, EU Ambassador for Gender and Diversity S. Ronner-Grubacic and others. The meetings addressed issues of economic empowerment for women in the framework of interaction with relevant EU bodies.

The Turkmen delegation familiarized the participants of the meeting with the national programs conducted in the country to empower women in all spheres. Turkmenistan's legal commitment to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women was demonstrated, and the special role of women in youth policy was emphasized.
