New Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan appointed

Nurlan Nogaev was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan by the decree of the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly.".

Previously, Askar Tazhibayev held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan since 2022. Nurlan Nogaev served as Head of Administration of Mangistau Region of Kazakhstan until mid-May 2024.

The 56-year-old diplomat graduated from the Gubkin Moscow State Academy of Oil and Gas with a degree in Mining Engineering, the Kazakh State Academy of Management with a degree in Economics, and the University of International Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nurlan Nogaev has extensive professional experience - he has held senior positions in Kazmunaigas, in the administration of the West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions, as well as in the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
