The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium organized a festive reception in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The participants of the celebration were representatives of the Brussels diplomatic corps, EU structures, the Belgian Foreign Ministry, think tanks, business communities and cultural organizations.
Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Belgium Sapar Palvanov made a speech during the reception, noting the country's achievements over the years of independence and the importance of cooperation with Belgium and the EU. Director General for Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Giron Koreman expressed interest in expanding partnership with Turkmenistan.
The reception included a fashion show of Mengli Secrets collection, a performance by Belgian violinist Annette Homann and Turkmen performer Yazmyrat Garlyev, as well as tasting of national Turkmen dishes.
